I know that “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,” but I have a short report on the Know More Media team and our holiday party in Las Vegas on Saturday, December 17th. Las Vegas seemed like a logical location (and a decent town for a party I hear) given that part of our team is in Southern California and part in Utah.

Needless to say, we had a great time. Thirteen (including some spouses) of us gathered at the Luxor on Saturday afternoon. We enjoyed a great dinner at the Rio and a lot of fun seeing the Blue Man Group at the Venetian (photo shows the KMM team). The show was hilarious. Come to find out, an underlying theme of the show is the derision of technology and our reliance on it. I found it funny and ironic that we, a blog network, chose to attend their show. It was good fun.
This trip was a great opportunity for us to get together, have fun, reflect on 2005 and look forward to 2006. We have been heads down for several months. In the early stages of an Internet company, the timetable is a little whacked. It feels like you compress so much progress into a short time-frame. I think that is due to the dynamic nature of the Web. You have to sense and respond and as you do, things change and you adapt. It is always a challenge to stay focused. But we will. We will continue to keep as our center the online publication of relevant business information and to do so we will recruit expert business authors.
Of course, we wonder where we will stand 12 months from now. We expect to have many more authors posting continuously and providing value to the online business audience. And we hope to have an even better celebration in December 2006.
