We have seen all the reports of the viciousness that exists in the blogosphere. We knew a lot of it was hyped. But still we did expect to get a few pot shots as we launched (and we may still yet).
Duncan Riley posted today about Sharing the Blog Love:
So in a time where the blogosphere is racked by criticism, infighting and nastiness, I’m launching a Sharing the Blog Love category here at the Blog Herald, where we’ll seek to highlight companies (mainly blogging related) who we love and who we don’t tell enough that we love.
(By the way, Duncan, I love Bloglines as well. I worry about how they will survive when Microsoft integrates RSS feeds into Outlook).
So in the spirit of Duncan's encouragement, we want to acknowledge the warm welcome we have received upon the launch.
To tell the truth, we expected that we might get flamed or attacked as we dipped our toes into the blogosphere pool. So far, to our surprise, the general feeling has been, "Welcome, come on in, the water is fine and we are glad you have joined us!"
Here are some of the people that have shared the love:

Duncan was kind to give us a nice mention:
Know More Media has announced the launch of its new network of business-related blogs. The Know More Media business blog network contains multiple sites that address a broad spectrum of business categories, including finance, sales, management, marketing, operations, customer service, and information technology.
We got comments from two other network bosses, Paul Scrivens of 9 Rules, and a gracious welcome from Stowe Boyd of Corante (For a further explanation of what Stowe was referring to, see my post, "Stowe - I Got it Wrong").
Matt Craven at BlogNetworkWatch ran part of our press release, as well as Colbert Low at TheSMSBlog, who also posts about our current job openings.
Martin Neumann , of the Home Office Voice, said this about us:
Know More Media - Another “smart” blog network was launched this week. Know More Media “is an online publisher of business information and news. Our authors provide a broad spectrum of business knowledge”. Smart because as readers of this blog would know, I especially like networks that focus versus those that try to be everything to everybody. Good luck, guys. You’re new to me but I like what I’ve seen so far.
Martin, we already like you, especially if you keep calling us "smart"!
Another of our favorite posts came from across the pond from Italy. Alessio Iaconna, of Blogs4Biz, wrote about us in Italian and emailed us with well wishes. We were not exactly sure what he said, until our skilled interpreter, Matt at TranslationMaven.com, came to our rescue. Here is a rough translation of the post.
"The latest blog network to debut on the planet: The recent arrival is Know More Media, a California nano-publisher with a rather imposing name that cooks up and maintains a fleet of business-only weblogs specializing in 'finance, sales, management, marketing, operations, customer service, and information technology'. The initial offering has 37 blogs but, beware, not all that glitters is gold. A visit to the network's homepage is enough to reveal that a whole 30 of these are unfilled and have urgent 'help wanted' ads for 'editors'. It's time [for KMM] to step up and get their ducks in a row." Alternate ending: "... put the horse before the cart."
Alessio, we have not hid that we are still looking for 30+ writers. We also don't feel that we launched with all of our ducks not in a row. We believe in the approach of sense and respond, not make and sell. We built our network so it is functional, but there is still much to do. But we want to let the market and our audience help tell us what is wanted and needed.
We are very appreciative for all the well wishes and support we have received and especially for the very warm welcome that we have received from some of the veterans out there.

Pretty hard to attack you guys as you seemed to have checked your egos before launching, have a nice tight niche going and have obviously put some thought and effort into your network.
No, this is not a job application (aka brown nosing) ;-) although I'm tempted and I'm a watching.
All the best.
