Right now, hundreds of "Web 2.0" companies (maybe we should lose the quotation marks) clamor for our collective attention. Today's thought: Don't settle for cookie-cutter services. Look for the ones that not only respond well to change, but also create change through their innovative approaches to business and the world.
As a citizen of the Web today, we need to continue to hone our ability to change. Don't assume that anything we do or use will stay the same forever. We take light bulbs for granted, but what if something better replaces them tomorrow? Everybody has to wait to watch a TV show at the same time, all on a TV set, right? (But we dream of getting all our favorite TV shows on the Internet for free, don't we?) RSS isn't really disrupting (read: changing) the common workplace, is it? You'll always have need for a wallet, right?
To echo a familiar phrase: Resist change and die. Adapt to change and survive. Create change and thrive!
