Big thumbs up to TheAirlineHub for all of the updates on the airline industry labor crisis. I call it a crisis because if pilots and flight attendants strike, who will do the work the bureaucrats don’t want to pay for? Okay, a bit of an exaggeration. The workers are paid I’m sure; but are their wages being increased reasonably for inflation and are the benefits adequate? I don’t know, but we can count on TheAirlineHub author Rob Willers to keep us informed.
All the buzz this weekend was Snakes on a Plane which as BizofShowBiz announced was #2 for the weekend just behind Talladega Nights. Maybe others were just giving the movie the benefit of the doubt when they announced that the movie was #1. Those advance screening totals don’t count though. Speaking of Snakes on a Plane, WebMetricGuru did not shy away from this timely topic when analyzing the movie’s viral ad campaign’s (limited) success. It still remains that for all the hype, Snakes on a Plane was (as AListReview author put it) a totally brainless campy movie and most could tell without having to waist their $10.
I enjoyed the post “He’s just not that into you” and the interesting take on how to know whether or not you landed that job or promotion you were hoping for by CompanyCounselor. This was an innovative look at how the same common sense people should use when determining if a relationship is worth pursuing is applicable in the pursuit of that dream job.
