Popular blogger Prince Campbell, AKA Chartreuse, continues his quest to uncover the answer to the question: "What is really happening in the areas affected a year ago by Hurricane Katrina?" With $1,000 of his own money - and perhaps much more from other bloggers and well-wishers - Chartreuse hopes to fund a reporting mission to expose the true state of rebuilding efforts in the New Orleans area.Tim Stay of Know More Media has praised Chartreuse's ambition and extended an offer to help, as have many others (more details here).
On Thursday afternoon, Chartreuse plans to announce the names of those he intends to send "to examine what’s going on in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast."
WAHM Connections feels the power exemplified by Chartreuse's effort:

I wish I could go to New Orleans. But since I cannot, I will do the next most powerful thing - I will write about Chartreuse's efforts and publish that news to the world through this simple yet oh-so-powerful medium known as blogging.
Maybe things are going wonderfully down in Katrina's wake. Maybe they are not. We need to find out - and if something more needs to be done, we need to be willing to do it, or spread the word and find the right people who will.
