Know More Media: Happy Blogtipping Day!
It's blogtipping day and thought I'd try it out. Hopefully I can encourage and offer some feedback to authors. By virtue of my position with Know More Media, I read the blogs on this network most regularly, leaving little time for reading any other blogs (or other reading period). Who better to surprise than the authors I read everyday? BlogTipping.gif

Blogtippee 1 - AListReview by Diane Ensey
  • Funny lady. Who doesn't love a analysis delivered as funny one-liners?
  • Accountability. The concept of digesting the top bloggers is great and helps to keep those "A-Listers" accountable for their analysis.
  • News Floozy. Playing bloggosphere/news catch-up is made easy and funny.
Suggestion: Make News Floozy a weekly column, published on the same day of the week so people (like myself) who look forward to it, will return every week for more. Also make News Floozy it its own category for quick reference.

Blogtipee 2 - PanAsianBiz and all respective blogs by Bill Belew on Know More Media
  • Variety. The wide range of subjects covered makes for well rounded reading.
  • Savvy. Although Belew hates writing about celebrity "puff," he does it anyway because his readers seem to enjoy it.
  • Engaging reader discussion. While it appears that not many respond, Belew always encourages discussion by asking the readers what they think at the end of each post.
Suggestion: A little editing goes a long way. Proofread before publishing.

Blogtippee 3: BizMediaScience by Joseph Carrabis
  • Candor. I enjoy the relaxed and candid tone of this blog. The author engages readers while acknowledging his own quest for quality in theblogosphere as it relates to business
  • Evolution of a blogger. People who read the column regularly will have the chance to watch the evolution of the author from reluctant to a professional blogger. Back to the candor, Carrabis is open about his growth and it is quite endearing.
  • The experiment and research. For me the development and success of citizen journalism is wrapped in the ability of the blogger on online journalist to present well researched content. Not only is it obvious that Carrabis knows what he is talking about but when he is challenged, he is willing to look deeper in the subject matter and make sure the information presented is accurate and useful.
Suggestion: Break up paragraphs for better readability and aesthetics. Formatting makes a difference on the reader experience and without the ability to use traditional indents at the beginning of paragraphs, the spaces between become essential. Just hit enter twice and things will look less crowded.

Hello, I'm blushing, you know.
Thanks

for the heads up
on breaking up paragraphs. It is something I've been watching and I know I can be verbose at times.

Your suggestion is a
good one

and I'll endeavor to use it wise
