Yesterday we celebrated the 1st anniversary of Know More Media's
launch and Hal Halladay took a look at the past and the future of Know More Media. I let my fellow Newsviners in on the anniversary action by sharing my story of how I became part of their community, and what I have learned both as part of the Know More Media team and a contributor in the development of new media.
Aside from the dedication of the administrative team, the authors on this network toil tirelessly to supply Know More Media readers with superior content and demonstrate why they are the experts. Since this is a very important part of the Know More Media success story, and I am honored to highlight them twice a week! Today, I'll look at some of my favorite authors and articles not just for the week but since I joined Know More Media. It really is a difficult task to select from so many greats but here goes (in no particular order)...
BrainBasedBusiness caught my attention from the beginning with its orginal concept and well researched articles by Dr. Ellen Weber that made it clear she knows her topic. I like the posts about rebooting the brain and other brain based discoveries.
As collaborators in the Media 2.0 development, many Know More Media authors have covered this story from a wide range of angles. AdHurl has weighed in on MySpace, YouTube and Google's gargantuan growth. The best thing about AdHurl, George Parker's matter-of-fact style and witty analysis will leave make you laugh out loud, so avoid milk when reading.
Gary Bourgeult, author of both BizofShowBiz and TheAlphaMarketer, has offered the most extensive coverage of the media disruptuiions by exposing why Hollywood does not care about consumers and the most recent shady attempts by the RIAA to increase profit margins. This author has also examined the media gatekeeper process and Google's entrance into the mass media.
I would also like to take the time to welcome Bill Hobbs, the author of Know More Media's first active political blog ElephantBiz. There is no end the the stream of ranting and raving from people with access to the internet but who have no real analysis to offer. Hobb's balanced look at Republican business is refreshing and insightful. Check out the post on the republican insurgent leader and favorite republican catch phrases used in the media.
