BrainBasedBusiness author Dr. Ellen Weber recently interviewed by An
na Farmery at Engaging the Brand. I would encourage everyone to listen if you are interested in hearing Dr. Weber explain her brain based approach to business in such a simple and personable way, that you might actually retain the information she provides! I was truly impressed.
Online media seem to be under siege. While Google takes on Europe and Viacom claims vindication, there was a more disturbing precedent set by the French Constitutional Council. The council has practically criminalized citizen journalism by passing a law prohibiting anyone other than “professional journalists" from filming or broadcasting acts of violence by. The council is also considering cesoring other online media, calling the internet government sactioned chanels they can censor as they deem necessary.
On a more positive note, TheAlphaMarketer examined why the media is no longer “mass” but rather a collection of various niche topics, arguing that targeting a segmented market is the way to surviving in the future of media.
Bill Belew, author of several Know More Media blogs, touched on an interesting subject when asking why is “historically Black” important. The answer might depend on who you ask. My opinion... Because they were created to serve the Black community durring a time when racism and discrimination were a more overt and there seemed to be no other alternative. For many, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) are a sacred part of the African American history and civil rights struggle in the U.S.
