I remember when we launched the Know More Media business blog network a year and a half ago, on Dec 14, 2005. We literally had only a handful of new authors, active blogs, and published blog articles (posts), but we had a mountain of dreams and goals. Now, 19 months later, we have achieved a major milestone by publishing our 50,000^th blog post on our blog network.

If we assume that the average post is about 150 words, we have published at least 7,500,000 words, which is roughly the equivalent of 75 average full-length novels. When I consider the technology, time, and human power it takes to produce that much original content online, it becomes truly astounding.

Over the same amount of time, we’ve had over 10,000,000 visitors to our blog network and enlisted almost 100 expert authors. We are deeply thankful to our authors for their vital contribution to this success. They work extremely hard to provide original business news, information, advice, and opinion, and to help spread the word to the online world. 50,000 blog posts in 19 months equals almost 100 unique blog posts per day that our authors write and publish. That’s a lot of content.

We look back with gratitude to our original inspirations for creating this business blog network. We hope to be an inspiration to others. Our commitment to citizen journalism and blogging & new media remains steadfast. We continue to hire new authors, seeking to expand our online reach, grow our expert business blog content, attract more readers, and move forward into a bright future.
