The annual Jewish holiday of Hanukkah has been a hot topic today as it commences at sundown. The holiday, also known as the Festival of Lights is celebrated as Jews light a candle for eight nights in a Hanukkah menorah. The holiday marks the re-dedication of the Temple Jerusalem
Certainly, many of those writing about Hanukkah today will wonder about the spelling of the word. So as a guide to you, I offer this useful but gleeful post from 2005 written on the blog Unbecoming Levity about “How to Spell Hanukkah.” Given my compulsive need for data, this really scratched the itch.
