The biggest story on the network this week was the Mitchell Report on the use of performance enhancers in Major League Baseball (MLB), so we’ll start the review of the week’s hot topics there.
LeaderNotes pointed out that the report puts MLB leadership under a microscope regarding the ethics of decision making; ItsBadBusiness also discussed the ethics – or the lack thereof – noting that everyone in MLB decided to look the other way and allow the use of performance enhancers to continue, despite the ban dating back to 2005. The overall consensus seems to agree that everyone is responsible for the results of the report and the negative fallout.
PanAsianBiz wandered which players were
not listed as Steroid users and pointed out that those excluded from the list could be considered new role models for young boys. No doubt the negative publicity will have an effect on Major League Baseball’s image. This reality left Manager’s Realm questioning whether or not December 13, 2007 will be a day of infamy for MLB.

GrowYourFunds addressed questions as to whether or not CompUSA’s going out of business is a sign of the times or mismanagement. According to HelpDeskNotes CompUSA’s misfortune is a gadget geek’s heaven and CompanyCounselor examined what CompUSA could have done differently.
