Mylie Cyrus, the squeaky-clean Hannah Montana and resident Tween icon brought her game to the big leagues perhaps thinking it was still just a family picnic. Seems like just another cog in the Disney line-up of young seemingly innocent teens who are pushed to places they don’t belong.
You can be 15 years old. You can be nice and sweet. But if you are going to keep
your has-been Dad employed and the studio bosses happy, forget acting like a 15 year-old. As proven by Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, naughty sells - not nice. And the more you dress and act like a hot 19 year-old, the more the cash rolls in.
Every time I see footage of Mylie Cyrus in concert I ask, “she is 15 years old?” Older stars routinely play younger-aged characters in movies and on TV. And it seems younger stars keep being pushed to look and act older.

Despite the apologies and full-court press by the PR professionals and handlers, it is all
about dollars and little sense.

So let’s review. Young Disney star. Run away success based on a Disney-esque reputation. Money and success push young star to abandon reputation that created success and money. You know the names – Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Vanessa Hudgens.
