In the U.S., I doubt it. Unless the ForTwo (made by Smart, which is owned by Daimler AG (Public, NYSE:DAI)) gets crazy gas mileage.
5 things you should know about the Smart ForTwo automobile:
1. It's an updated version of an also-teeny two-passenger car sold in Europe.
2. It just got the highest possible safety marks from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).
3. It's the littlest car the IIHS has ever tested.
4. The ForTwo is about three feet shorter and 700 pounds lighter than a Mini Cooper. Yeah - tiny.
5. The IIHS admitted that the ForTwo is too miniscule to be considered completely safe in every driving condition (including highway driving).
What do you think? Would you buy this car?
