
On October Friday the 13th (of all days) we at Know More Media welcomed our 2,000,000th visitor to our network. It took us about 9 months to see our 1,000,000th visitor on Aug 1, 2006; now, only 2 ½ months later, we’ve reached the 2,000,000-visitor mark. We are very pleased with that growth trend.
In a stroke of heavy irony, the same blog that received our one millionth visitor in August also received our two millionth visitor in October: ThePublishingSpot.com, author: the inimitable Jason Boog.

We’re seeing increasing traffic from sites such as StumbleUpon, Digg.com, Fark.com, and the like, as well as a great deal from Google, Yahoo, and MSN searches. We know that this trend to find information, analysis, opinion, and news online will only escalate. As the McKinsley Quarterly on Forbes.com points out about the online world:
We do a billion Google searches a day, more than half in languages other than English. For perhaps the first time in history, geography is not the primary constraint on the limits of social and economic organization.
We get visitors from around the world, seeking answers to many different queries; we’ll continue to work hard to offer quality content and new valuable products to these eager online seekers. We look forward to welcoming our three, five, and ten millionth visitors.
